Cameroon’s Abessolo Wins Chantal Biya Int’l Cycling Tour

Cameroonian cyclist Kamzong Abessolo over the weekend won the yellow jersey of the Chantal Biya international cycling tour.

The captain of the SNH velo club won emerged overall winner after covering the competition’s total distance of 579.3 Km in 14 hours 33 minutes 07 seconds.

Slovakian born Cully J.A of Dukla Baska Bystrica was runner up after covering the same distance in 14 hours 33 minutes 10 seconds.


The following prizes were handed out to the cyclists at the end of the tour;

-Yellow Jersey for the overall winner; Clovis Kamzong Abessolo (Cameroon)

-The White Jersey for the best youth;Cully Jan Andrej (Slovakia)

-Best overall Climber;Clovis Kamzong Abessolo (Cameroon)

-Best team of the competition; Dukla Banska Bystrica of Slovakia.

Special Prizes from Cameroon’s First Lady, Chantal Biya were handed to all participating teams.
